​McKINNEY – A 28-acre mixed-use development near downtown will surround the landmark century-old Cotton Mill.

The project will have 1,200 rental units (including 27 townhome-style lofts), 200,000 sf of office and retail space, playgrounds, event areas, food truck parking, swimming pools, fitness centers, a coworking space, game rooms, and lounge areas for tenants. 

It will break ground in mid-2024 with 260 units across a five-story building and finish by 2030.

Built in 1910, the 176,000-sf Cotton Mill will be the development’s centerpiece.

The project will have an economic impact of $933 million according to developer Presidium. 

Provident General Contractors will handle construction. O’Brien Architects is the designer.​
