COOKE COUNTY – Green Brick Partners has acquired the first phase of land for Burks Ranch, a master-planned, 10-year project.

The developer plans to build 2,100-homes on approximately 570 acres near Lake Ray Roberts.

Burks Ranch will have a community nature preserve area, open space trail corridors, parks, a resort-style pool, and a community amenity center.

Construction on the first homes is expected to begin in two years.

The firm plans to close on the second half of the land in a year and a half.
