FORT WORTH – The city has completed the $95M first phase of the Fort Worth Convention Center expansion, marked by a ribbon-cutting on Monday.

The nearly 77,000-sf phase delivered a new southeast entrance and terrace, expanded food and beverage facilities, and increased loading docks from seven to eleven.

Crews also realigned Commerce St., clearing a pad for a future convention hotel and additional retail or restaurant space.

Design is nearly complete for the $606 million second phase, which is scheduled to run from late 2026 to early 2030. That phase will demolish the existing arena and replace it with new meeting space and a ballroom while renovating existing exhibit halls and meeting rooms.
