Garland allocates $360M in bond projects
GARLAND – Garland residents approved a $360 million Grow Garland bond program to fund street, park, cultural, and economic development projects.
Street projects will receive the largest share of funding, with $230 million dedicated to street and alley maintenance, roadway improvements, and gateway and corridor beautification citywide.
Economic development initiatives will receive $75 million to support revitalization, neighborhood vitality, land assembly, and development incentives.
Parks and recreation will receive $30 million, with a focus on revitalizing Harbor Point along Lake Ray Hubbard through improved waterfront access, expanded activities, and new walking trail connections.
Cultural arts projects will be funded with $25 million to renovate the Granville Arts Center, modernizing building systems, enhancing performance spaces and improving accessibility to Garland’s downtown square.
