Pflugerville breaks ground on 29-acre mixed-use development
PFLUGERVILLE – The city has broken ground on the Downtown East project, a 29-acre mixed-use development.
The project will extend the city’s Main St. and include a community plaza, new city hall, new parking garage, and a recreation center.
It will also add 10,500 sf of retail space, with room to add commercial buildings in the future, at the northwest corner of Farm to Market Rd. 685 and Pecan St.
The project will be built in phases, the first of which is slated to be finished in fall 2026 and cost about $223 million.
Griffin Swinerton LLC is the master developer of the Downtown East project and will enter into a ground lease with Pflugerville for the 29 acres that the project sits on.
