WILLIAMSON COUNTY – The market value of all Williamson County real estate has increased by $9.4 billion since a year ago, according to Alvin Lankford, the county’s chief appraiser. Total value is at $171.7 billion, up from $162.3 billion.

The county added 7,324 new homes, 438 new apartment units, and 424 new commercial buildings in 2023, Lankford said.

The number of new apartment units was down substantially from the previous year’s 5,521. Lankford said the decrease is due to market saturation, with the apartment occupancy rate across the county between 93 and 94 percent.

The median value of a house has decreased from $414,869 in 2022 to $412,310 in 2023.
