Former Marathon Oil Tower sold 

HOUSTON – Starwood Property Trust has sold a 41-story, 1.2 million-sf office tower at 5555 San Felipe to Energy Transfer. 

The former Marathon Oil Tower building was 60 percent occupied by Marathon Oil until it moved out in 2021. 

Starwood gained ownership through foreclosure in 2022. 

Energy Transfer will relocate its headquarters to the new building.
