Everybody Gets a Trophy . . . Almost
I’m gonna let you in on some good news we just received here at the Center, but it’s off the record, on the QT, and very hush-hush.
Our flagship magazine, Tierra Grande, has won a Gold Quill Merit Award from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
This is a big deal. Why, you ask?
IABC’s Gold Quill is a worldwide competition, with entries coming from not only the United States, but from Australia, Canada, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Israel, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, and the U.K.
Obviously, competition is tight. In fact, our senior editor, David Jones, said Tierra Grande has won only two Gold Quills — in 1979 and 1980.
In related news, our Real Estate Red Zone podcast walked away empty-handed. You can’t win ’em all, I suppose. But at least the feedback was encouraging:
"The podcasts are creative, friendly and informative. very good work done on a tight budget. This is a great start. Keep at it!"
And so we will. Look for a fresh episode later today.
