PLANO – Work has begun to convert the 37-year-old Collin Creek Mall into a $1 billion mixed-use project.
But first, the two-story shopping mall on the 100-acre site along US 75 will be demolished.
The teardown will take between 90 and 120 days.
Parts of the old mall will be repurposed as an open-air retail and restaurant center.
The first phase of the redevelopment will focus on retail, residential, and hotel construction.
