FERRIS – OurCalling has broken ground on the first phase of OurCommunity, a 280-acre tiny-home development.

The community, which will eventually have 500 tiny homes for the homeless, is intended to serve people in need of long-term care, those with disabilities or terminal conditions, and those with significant cognitive and physical challenges.

The full project is estimated to cost more than $70 million. The first phase, for which $15 million has been raised, involves the construction of 25 homes, a clubhouse, and infrastructure. It is expected to be completed in spring 2025.
