TAYLOR – Moment Energy Inc. is planning to open a facility that will repurpose batteries from electric vehicles into stationary energy storage. 

The company was awarded $20.3 million from the U.S Department of Energy for the 200,000-sf project, which is estimated to cost $40 million. 

Design of the project will start in the first quarter of next year, with the aim of opening in 2026 with 100,000 sf. The plan is to ramp up to 200,000 sf within three to five years.
