McALLEN – The city is planning Kappler Park, a 23-acre nature park at 8701 N. 23rd St.
The $1.2 million project will have a lake, bike and walking trail, archery field, and a campsite.
Additional features will include a fishing and boating pier, eating area, gazebo, and multi-purpose meadow.
Construction is slated to begin in September 2024. The project is estimated to be completed by September 2025.
