$43M acquisition doubles Enchanted Rock State Park 

AUSTIN – The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) has acquired a 3,073-acre property adjacent to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. 

The $43 million purchase has doubled the amount of publicly available land at the state park. 

TPWD will develop a plan with input from the public to determine recreational opportunities for the property. 

The $1 billion Centennial Parks Conservation Fund will help accelerate development and eventual public use.
