RED OAK – Google is investing $600 million in the construction of a data center as their second Texas site.

The data center will cost $330 million initially and $600 million over several years of development. It will create 30 jobs and 1,200 construction jobs as it’s built.

The center will focus on digital services such as Google Cloud, Workspace Search, and Maps.

The first Google site in Texas was in Midlothian.​
