Aggieland campus hotel in the works

​COLLEGE STATION – ​A 250,000-sf project is underway to overlook Kyle Field at Texas A&M University, with expected completion for the 2018 football season.

​The eight-story hotel include a full-service restaurant and bar, 1,000 sf of retail space, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, an outdoor event area, a 650-seat ballroom and more than 28,000 sf of conference and meeting space.

Once completed, the hotel will have 250 rooms—237 standard rooms, eight standard suites, three hospitality suites and two deluxe suites—and will join the Cain Parking Garage off Wellborn Rd.

The hotel is being constructed by Gilbane Development Company and operated by Benchmark Hospitality and will be utilizing a public-private partnership to fund the project.
