WASHINGTON, D.C. – Austin ranked ninth on U.S. News & World Report’s list of 150 best places to live in the U.S. It was the only Texas city to crack the top ten.

San Antonio was the next highest Texas city, ranking 89th. Dallas ranked 95th and Houston 97th.

According to U.S. News & World Report, to make the top of the list, “a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life.”

Naples, Fla., took the top spot.
