CELINA – Swinterton will soon begin the first phase of the city’s Downtown Center project, which will add parking, public amenities, and government offices.
The initial phase will entail construction of a 25,202-sf, four-story parking garage with roughly 400 parking spaces.
The parking garage is scheduled for completion in fall 2025, at which point construction of the 115,245-sf Downtown Center project will begin.
The project will include a 26,206-sf library, rooftop gathering and entertainment area, and a garden park.
The Center will also provide a new home for the city’s municipal workforce until a city hall is built in the next seven to ten years.
The entire $93.5 million development is expected to finish by winter 2025.
