GLO awards $17.9 million for Texas roadway, water infrastructure improvements
AUSTIN – The Texas General Land Office (GLO) will distribute $17.9 million to cities and counties to enhance roadway and water infrastructure, supplemented by local funding. Key projects include:
Taft: $3.3 million for water line and sewer main replacements, manhole rehabilitation, and system updates.
Kenedy: $2.1 million for sewer plant upgrades, including sludge removal systems and laboratory construction.
Lexington: $2 million for water and wastewater system improvements, a splash pad, and algae control equipment installation.
Lockhart: $1.9 million for waterline and fire hydrant replacement along key streets.
Guadalupe County: $1.9 million for drainage infrastructure upgrades, focusing on culverts, roadways, and utility relocation.
