DALLAS – The former Cabana Hotel will undergo a $55 million transformation into a mixed-income multifamily housing development.

The ten-story, 300-room hotel at 899 Stemmons Fwy. was built in 1962. Sycamore acquired the property last year.

The project calls for nearly 158,000 sf of rentable space across 175 units.

The facade, the common area’s terrazzo flooring, and the original pool deck shade covers are all considered historic and will be restored.

Construction is expected to wrap up in first quarter 2026.
