Mixed-use center planned near Midland zoo

MIDLAND – A mixed-use development dubbed The Preserve is underway, with developers describing it as “transformative.”

The project is spearheaded by the Boot Lake Ranch property owner.

The space will provide a dining, retail, and entertainment options, along with public open areas and a central green space.

The Preserve will be next to Zoo Midland, which will span over 50 acres of the former Nueva Vista golf course. Groundbreaking for The Preserve is set for this summer, and an approximate completion of phase one is slated for spring 2026.
