DALLAS – Active listings in North Texas increased nearly 46 percent year over year in April, totaling 24,128 homes.

Dallas County experienced a significant increase of 56.7 percent, with over 5,100 active listings. Collin County saw a rise of almost 70 percent, while Tarrant County had a nearly 41 percent increase.

This trend continued from March, which saw a 34.8 percent increase in active listings compared to the previous year.

With 3.2 months of housing inventory in April, the market is approaching pre-COVID pandemic levels according to Ted Wilson, principal of Residential Strategies.
