SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County’s University Health is set to begin construction on Vida, a $30 million, multi-specialty center near Texas A&M University-San Antonio that will house its new Institute for Public Health.

The 60,000-sf building is part of the new $470 million Palo Alto Hospital campus.

Vida will provide a home for primary care services, wellness and preventive health education programs, and spaces for community partners.

University Health’s Institute for Public Health could be completed by 2026. The accompanying Palo Alto Hospital is expected to open in 2027.
