AUSTIN – Apple is expanding its Texas operations as part of a $600 billion domestic manufacturing investment commitment.

In Houston, the company began building a manufacturing facility in early 2025 with mass production set for next year.

In Austin, construction continues on a second campus with three buildings dedicated to hardware and software engineering.

Additionally, Apple is partnering with Texas Instruments for chip production at its Sherman facility, MP Materials to supply rare earth magnets for its Fort Worth facility, and Samsung’s Austin fabrication plant to introduce new chip-making technology.

These projects use U.S.-sourced silicon and materials to strengthen Apple’s Texas-based manufacturing footprint.
