Expert Bio
Joshua joined the Texas Real Estate Research Center in August 2016. He began his real estate career originating residential mortgages shortly before the Great Recession of 2007. After completing two master’s degrees—one in economics, the other in real estate finance—he shifted his attention toward data analytics where he uses a variety of technologies to bring data to life. Joshua is also a husband, father of two energetic kids, a first-generation Aggie, and a musician.

Outlook for the Texas Economy
Texas total nonfarm employment dipped in October after two months of growth. Despite the loss of jobs, the unemployment rate held steady at 4.1 percent and the labor force participation rate climbed to 64.6 percent. Inflation remained resilient and failed to decrease toward the 2 percent target rate.
