DALLAS – Developers have quietly launched construction of what will be the largest mixed-use project in Dallas’ Deep Ellum district.
The Epic development is on the eastern edge of downtown at Elm St. and Good-Lattimer-Expressway, and will have 250,000 sf of office and a hotel in a historic 100-year-old brick four-story building.
A project of Westdale Properties, KDC and StreetLights Residential, the development will include an office building, hotel, apartments and retail space.
Construction crews began site work on the property which is adjacent to the historic Knights of Pythias Temple on Elm St. Plans call for the vacant landmark building to be converted into a hotel.
KDC plans to build a 14-story office tower as part of the Epic project, and StreetLights Residential has been tapped to construct a high-rise residential building.
