SAN ANTONIO – Area home sales increased 8 percent year-over-year during the first three months of 2024, according to new data from the San Antonio Board of Realtors. That’s nearly 8,000 more homes than a year ago.

The median sale price in the San Antonio area fell 3 percent to $300,000 during the same period.

Inventory has remained above four months, moving closer to the six months typically considered a balance between buyers and sellers. Active listings were up 27 percent in the first quarter, and the average time a home spent on the market jumped 7 percent to 77 days.

Meanwhile, sales of new homes rose 32 percent.
