SPRING – The new shopping center Grand Parkway Marketplace broke ground in April at the corner of Kuykendahl Rd. and Spring Stuebner Rd.
The 450,000-sf center, to be anchored by Target, is expected to open in summer 2017.
The new center will include a restaurant village with four to five restaurants around a lake feature with an interactive fountain and public boardwalk, and will have a mix of national, regional, and local retailers.
Activity has been so bullish at Grand Parkway Marketplace that Kimco Realty bought 35 acres of land across the street to build Grand Parkway Marketplace II.
That shopping center, which will be 350,000-sf and have three anchor stores, will break ground this summer and is expected to open in the fall of 2017.![](https://trerc.tamu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Spring_Retail_GrandParkway_July2016.png)
