The facility will have two buildings totaling 50,000 sf. It will have a 16-bed crisis unit for adults, including ten crisis residential beds and six extended observation unit beds (EOU). The buildings will have a youth wing with a 16-bed crisis unit for children and adolescents. The youth wing will include 12 crisis residential beds and four EOU beds.

Uvalde donated 7 acres to host the behavioral health campus. Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Centers will oversee construction and operate the facility.
