IRVING – Trend Micro Inc., a Japan-based technology security firm, plans to move its U.S. headquarters and 220 jobs to 52,000 sf of office space at Las Colinas II at 225 E. Las Colinas Blvd.

The initial phase of the project will bring about 185 employees from the company’s sales operation in Arlington to the building by summer 2013.

During the second phase of the relocation, Trend Micro will bring about 25-35 employees from its California corporate office by the end of 2013. Not all corporate employees will make the move to Texas, which will mean a number of net new jobs to Irving.

As part of the relocation, the City of Irving approved an economic incentive for $84,916 earlier this month.
